Study on Sinusoidal Post-Buckling Deformation of Coiled Tubing in Horizontal Wells Based on the Separation Constant Method

In this paper, a set of partial differential equations considering the dynamic effects coiled tubing (CT) is established based on bending theory slender beams axial loads. The analytical solution sinusoidal deformation with time term obtained. critical load during buckling and change half-wave number post-buckling are studied through introduction necessary conditions, separation constant. contact force horizontal well wall analyzed. results show that for fixed-size CT related to section angular acceleration coefficient. produced by gradually decreases compression. deformed borehole compression speed CT. By introducing constant, research model can provide theoretical basis studying transformation from helical buckling.
